Personal Injury – Work injuries, automobile and other accidents, and slip and fall accidents.

Estate planning – The purpose of estate planning is to anticipate and arrange for the disposal of your estate in the event of incapacitation or death with the goal of reducing taxes and other estate expenses. The types of documents required and complexity of the estate plan is dependent upon many factors including, but not limited to, the size and location of your assets. Examples of documents utilized in estate planning are Wills, Trusts, financial Powers of Attorney, health care Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and property ownership documents.

Estate Administration – Administering an estate involves opening an estate with the Register of Wills, obtaining appraisals, collecting information as to assets and debts of the decedent, preparing documents to be filed with the Register of Wills, and distributing assets to beneficiaries.

Estate and Trust Litigation – Disputes may sometimes arise during the administration of an Estate or Trust.  Our firm represents both fiduciaries and beneficiaries to ensure that their interests are protected and to assist in Will contests, unjust enrichment and abuses of power of attorney, and lawsuits for breach of fiduciary duty.

Guardianships – When a loved one is incapable of caring for themselves or their property, whether due to incapacity, disability, or age, a legal guardian may be appointed. The guardian may be appointed with power solely over the person of the ward, the property of the ward, or both. The guardian has the legal authority and duty to care for the person (ward) and ensure their safety, well-being, and financial interests.
